XEOMIN® is a prescription medicine that obstructs the release of chemicals that cause frown line muscle contractions, resulting in softened frown lines. It is injected into muscles and temporarily improves the appearance of moderate to severe from lines between the glabellar lines, also known as the eyebrows. It contains botulinum toxin type A, which is a protein purified from Clostridium botulinum. This ingredient acts on the nerve endings in the muscles to prevent the fibers from contracting, thus, reducing the lines between the eyebrows. The results typically last three months, but can last longer or shorter in each individual patient.
